The Kate Bockman Memorial Second-Year Moot Court Competition honors Kathryn Anne Bockman, an alumna of the University of South Carolina School of Law and a member of the Moot Court Bar.
The competition, which is held each fall, is open to all second-year students at the School of Law. The final round of the competition is held at the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
In addition to being a member of the Moot Court Bar as a student, Bockman belonged to the Order of the Barristers and served as the Associate Justice of Competitions, where one of her biggest contributions came in the form of organizing the second-year competition and the the J. Woodrow Lewis Competition. She also served as a member of the National Appellate Advocacy team for the School of Law.
